MAP Growth Assessments
Dear Parent/Guardian,
As part of our commitment to supporting every student’s academic growth, we utilize a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework. This system helps us monitor student progress and provide targeted instruction to meet each child’s needs.
One important part of this process is benchmarking student performance in reading and math three times per year using the NWEA MAP Growth assessment. These benchmark assessments give us valuable insights into your child’s academic development and help guide instruction in the classroom.
Three times this year, you will receive your child’s Family Report from the MAP Growth assessment, with the first report arriving tomorrow. These reports provide information about how your child is performing compared to grade-level expectations and the academic growth they’ve made over time.
We encourage you to review the report and, if you have any questions, please reach out directly to your child’s or children’s teacher. They can provide more context about the results and how they are using this information to support your child’s learning.
Thank you for being a partner in your child’s learning journey.
Sincerely,

Nicole M. Covell
Assistant Superintendent of Instruction and Personnel
